Amritsar District Congress (Rural) SC Department Submits Memorandum on Attack Inside Supreme Court

The Amritsar District Congress Committee (Rural) – Scheduled Caste Department today submitted a memorandum to the Hon’ble President of India through the Amritsar District Administration, condemning the attack on the Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble Justice B. R. Gavai, inside the Supreme Court premises.​

This is not merely an attack on an individual; it is an affront to the dignity of the Scheduled Caste community and a violation of India’s core constitutional values of justice, equality, and the rule of law.

1. Immediate and stringent legal action against the lawyer involved in the assault.​

2. Registration of a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against the accused.​

3. A clear national message of Zero Tolerance toward caste-based discrimination or insult—across all institutions, including the judiciary.​

This initiative stands for justice, equality, and the dignity of the Constitution, and calls upon authorities to ensure swift accountability.​
A prompt and decisive response will reaffirm public trust and reinforce constitutional morality in the justice system.
